Greener Communities Day

Saturday 31st October 2026 - Christ Church, 26 Cricklade St, Swindon SN1 3HG

You are invited to gain and share inspiration and resources to support your climate and environmental goals at this event.

Community groups, unitary and parish councils, schools and colleges, churches and mosques, businesses and charities and all sorts of other organisations are welcome to discuss and explore how to mitigate and adapt to climate change and reverse decline of nature and ecosystems.

Some people will have been encouraged by the People's Emergency Briefing film to think about how we can all do things in every area of life to help and how we need our politicians to enable and support a better future.

There will be stalls, presentations, panel discussions and workshops on various aspects - something for everyone. And some delicious healthy and nutritious plant-rich food for lunch!

Please complete the short expression of interest form to help us plan and let us know how you'd like to be involved - just visiting or helping to organise! Or if you just want to attend you can reserve a free ticket here - donations welcome for lunch and costs on the day.

Please also share the Facebook Event and help to spread the word.

We have some flyers you can use to help promotion, or you can print some from these files: Inkjet printable flyer (white background, 1 side)

Full colour flyer (2 sides) for laser printing

Full colour flyer (2 sides, 2 per A4 sheet) for laser printing, flip on short side

Please email scan@swindonclimate.org or phone 07809 122474 for printed fliers or help.

Afterwards those who wish can join us at a nearby venue to mull it over - and celebrate the rest of Halloween Day, the ancient festival or Earth Renewal.

Event organised by Wiltshire Climate Alliance, Swindon Climate Action Network, Christ Church and Swindon Eco Church Network, with Swindon Councils.
