Decarbonise - Adapt - Thrive

WCA and Wiltshire Council are collaborating to convene an inaugural Climate Summit for Wiltshire and Swindon over two days in June. The venue is planned to be County Hall, Trowbridge.

  • Friday 20th June - a business focused event for organisations large and small to share best practice and wanting to do business with those reducing their carbon emissions

  • Saturday 21st June - a community focused event for councils, eco-churches, eco-schools, community environmental groups and others wanting to tackle climate change issues
Each day we will have welcome/networking, introductory and closing sessions, breakouts/workshops, food and an optional simple evening reception.

The venue has limited capacity so please fill in this simple form as soon as possible to help us plan! There is no commitment at this stage. Attendance tickets will be available soon.

Goals of the Event

  • Engaging with local businesses and communities to enable the sharing of best practice to help others better understand what they can achieve

  • Forming a county-wide Stakeholder group to share best practice and organise events, including a larger COP for 2026

  • Establishing actions for net zero in their business or community that will benefit all Wiltshire, to be followed up through the year

  • Organising exhibition space for information, guidance, suppliers and installers

  • Communicating far and wide

The Summit is being organised by Wiltshire Council and Wiltshire Climate Alliance with the support of Swindon Council. The 2025 event will be a precursor to a series of annual events designed to precipitate action on climate change though collaboration, commitment and transparency.

Decarbonise Adapt Thrive

The Wiltshire Climate Summit 2025 will be held on 20th and 21st June at County Hall, Trowbridge, for two days of networking, talks and exhibitions to inspire, equip and connect businesses, organisations and communities across Swindon and Wiltshire to accelerate our journey to net zero.

Friday will be business focused, with the emphasis on sharing ideas and experiences. Businesses can showcase their progress and discuss challenges they overcame. There will be workshops covering different stages on the journey to net zero and suppliers of relevant products, services and funding to help participants to understand and get their questions answered on net zero solutions. It is expected that most attendees will come from medium to large sized SMEs from Swindon and Wiltshire.

Saturday centres on communities - facilitating the coming together of local groups, empowering them to share resources and approaches, to boost their progress to net zero. The target audience will be community representatives who are already engaged in helping their neighbourhoods on the net zero journey eg. town and parish councillors, school climate officers, climate change groups, local eco-church leaders, community energy projects, environmental groups, public service organisations.

The Summit is being organised by Wiltshire Council and Wiltshire Climate Alliance with the support of Swindon Council. The 2025 event will be a precursor to a series of annual events designed to precipitate action on climate change though collaboration, commitment and transparency.
