Decarbonise - Adapt - Thrive

WCA and Wiltshire Council are collaborating to convene an inaugural Climate Summit for Wiltshire and Swindon over two days in June.

  • Friday 20 June - Business Day - Friday will be business focused, with the emphasis on idea and experience sharing. Businesses will showcase their progress and discuss their challenges. There will be workshops covering different stages on the journey to net zero, and suppliers of relevant products, services and funding, to help participants to understand and get their questions answered on net zero solutions. The event will be open to all businesses from Swindon and Wiltshire.

  • Saturday 21 June - Community Day - Saturday focuses on communities - bringing together members of local community and neighbourhood organisations, empowering them to share resources and approaches to accelerate their progress towards net zero. The target audience will be community organisations who are already engaged in helping their neighbourhoods on the net zero journey e.g. town and parish councils, school and colleges, local eco churches, climate groups, community energy groups, environmental groups, public sector organisations.

Each day we will have welcome/networking, introductory and closing sessions, panels, workshops, exhibition stands, great food and a post-event reception in a nearby establishment.

Tickets are now available, with further details of the program. Tickets are free for the Community Day or £20.00 for the Business Day. Pay it forward donations will allow us to provide free tickets on our Community Day

If you are interested in having a stand to showcase your work, sponsoring the event or volunteering to help to make the summit be a success, please contact us here:

We would still like to hear more about what climate and environment projects and facilities there are in your area or community, please fill this form as fully as you can :

The summit is being organised by Wiltshire Council and Wiltshire Climate Alliance on a not-for-profit basis and endorsed by Swindon Borough Council. The 2025 summit is intended to be a precursor to a series of events throughout the year and a larger summit in 2026. It is designed to precipitate action on climate change though commitment, collaboration and transparency.

The events are mainly organised by volunteers but there are some administration, communication  and project management expenses as well as food to cover. There is a small charge for business day tickets, and a suggested donation for community day tickets. If you are able to make a donation to help cover the costs this would be very welcome.
