Save Chippenham Auction
Save Chippenham Art Auction
Welcome to the Save Chippenham Art Auction! Purchase Beautiful Seasonal Festive Gifts whilst Saving our Countryside!
Who, what, when, where, why?
WHO – Many supporters of Save Chippenham, the new campaign against urban sprawl,
have worked free of charge to organise, promote and bring you this fundraising event.
WHAT – The auction includes a wide range of high-quality works of art, dating from the early 19th century to this year, kindly donated by local artists and owners. Four works will also be raffled independently of the auction process.
WHEN – The auction is being held on Sunday, 19th December 2021 from 11.30am – 6pm.
WHERE – The Cause Arts and Music Venue, The Causeway, Chippenham, SN15 3DD.
This has a very fine Victorian Gothic former Methodist church Auditorium, capacity 150 and with an upper balcony, a roomy Hall entirely wheelchair-accessible, with adjacent disabled toilet, and kitchen facilities, other toilets, etc. There is plentiful car parking nearby.
WHY – All proceeds will go towards saving Chippenham from urban sprawl – excessive greenfield development. The urgent need is to raise funds for the High Court challenge to Wiltshire Council’s huge “Future Chippenham” housing and commercial development on farmland to the South of Chippenham, with a road scheme using Homes England funding.
