I live in the Grimsteads near Salisbury. I started a village nature group two years ago and our current ongoing project is planting wildflowers on the village green to increase biodiversity. We call them Nectar Bars. The initiative is supported and paid for by Grimstead Parish Council as part of its Making Space for Nature strategy.
I have set up recycling collection boxes in the village for crisp packets, pet food pouches, batteries, toothbrushes and toothpaste tubes which I take to the TerraCycle drop off points in Salisbury.
Have recently discovered the perfect Lockdown activity: wombling. Walk, chat and pick up litter at the same time.
Looking forward to sharing information and swapping ideas.
